The Online Warrior returns with Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. An ongoing level up video series covering strategy, individual characters, team synergy...and everything UMVC3 while playing online ranked games.

This is a very dialogue heavy episode, so get ready. We discuss the passion the FGC shares for fighting games, what makes them appealing, and how the barrier of entry is so high for fighters. Also go into detail my aspirations and inspirations for creating fighting game content and hopes for the future.

thanks for playing!

  • Hey Max, I personally believe that you should make a video showing us the work ( Drawings, game design, etc.) that you are working on. I would love to see what you produce in terms of drawings. I enjoy the amount of thought that goes into these games. Thumbs up if you would also be interested?

  • @ShadowGalladex I might do this just for you guys. Don't have a working scanner, but I'll take some snapshots of a few sketches for ya.

  • This is good. A lot of so-called 'good' fighting game players tend to look down on people who are trying to learn and that puts off a lot of people from playing the games. Especially the whole 'noob' thing going on with douchebags online. It may just be the whole individual psychological problem, but it doesn't help anybody except maybe for the person who's calling others 'noob' to feel better about himself by belittling others. I think this may just be people from the 80% and maybe 15% though.

  • I'm one of the people who plays games for fun. Though recently, despite how bad I am at UMvC3, I've been trying to play online and get a little competitive.

  • they need to make a daredevil and sacksquatch dlc

  • MOstly to entertain myself.I like competitive play but to an extent.MOrtaL KOMBAt for instance was my childhood.Playing it at the arcades was a blast. But what thrilled me most was the wins i got.i celebrated mostly because of my perfomance in battle. All i want to do in fighting games is go online show and dispaly all my combos and strategies and then if fortunate win if not lose.

  • I only play Fighters as a hobby, but I'm somewhere in the 15% of players who plays the game for the competition and I enjoy learning stuff. I started with BlazBlue, and that game is so good for learning how to play Fighters. UMvC3 is a lot easier, I must say.

  • I was one of those crazy kids that attended to elementary school with a red headband, and when people said I was Rambo, I yelled at them That I was Ryu. I love fighting games because of a kind of Saiyan complex: I like to play against better players and I actually feel happy when I have a good fight, I don't care if I haven't played the game like Blaz Blue or Arcana Heart, when I see a good fight I want to become better. I'm not into frames, or kara-moves, I only like to kick some asses! ^w^

  • I play a wide variety of games, mostly the action/RPG genres.

I'm easily amused, I always try to enjoy everything, the characters, their designs/personalities, the stories, the eye candy, the gameplay). Regardless of how they are (from great to awful to fanhated), it takes quite a lot for me to really hate something (though I can still dislike it) probably because I'm easily amused (or in some character's case, want to understand)

  • Max for President!!

  • @Yonin777plus You hit Light,Medium,Heavy, and Special at gthe same time.

  • Hey max i always wanted to be a game designer, and tips?
