isnt it amazing how it seems evey single person on youtube is a kenjustsu master and knows all about flawless technique and cant point out everything your doing as wrong but somehow they themselves never have any videos of proper performance. this just boggles my mind. Who knew there were so many prodigies here on youtube?

I propose that you start a whole new ryu of scabbard throwing.

lolz it was kinda cool and flashy.... need to work on the noto tho.....

First time I've seen left-handed draws and back draws. First time I've seen a lot of these techniques demonstrated at all. Idk if you've done them poorly, but I don't see these "youtube sensei's" posting vids of themselves doing any better!!! :P

@IcabodCrane I agree, the tradition is supposed to be a frame for the martial artist in order to develop his own style and skills
-
I also commend the frame of mind to go against traditionalists. If one's "soul" is their tool/weapon, then by breaking their weapon you've broken their soul. By using traditionalist movement against them with innovative strategies will often wreck someone who's spent years doing the same things over and over. Many innovative martial artists will point out that by following strict traditionalist guidelines that predictability becomes paramount.

Impressively quick reverse draw. I find it funny how so many people believe they'd look any better while trying to do an instructional video for youtube flawlessly. Cameras and recording devices for artist of any kind make it a lot more difficult than just doing so in a frame of mind without, simply because if you mess up it makes you believe you look far more foolish than you actually do.

Thanks for the demo. I realize that doing so many different techniques in such a short span can be difficult. I wouldn't mind seeing a fully prepared presentation, as my interest in iaido comes from seeing and practicing aikido.

Not bad skills, keep do a lot of practice.

What was the point of this demo?? Showing how to ruin a saya or how to perform sloppy cuts? If so..congrats on a job well done! I'm surprised you haven't cut your own head off...maybe that's an idea for your next video?
