@elshowgun15 Yeah, that's the kid. I was beginning to think he was you, but at least you got some good seats. Even though you should have been at school, the oppotunity you took to see your hero will stay with you for a long time. You can tell you grand kids about it.
Where was I all that time he was in London? I think I was playing 5 aside football and trying to get over the woes of Euro 96.

he was a black boy right? he was part of some wu shu/kung fu school in london..he was chosen to demonstrate for Jet etc..man i was a little 11 yr old kid in the audience rolling solo..but big rick baker showed me love and got me great seats..!!and i had a pic signed by the man himself at the west end store! @elshowgun15 Yeah, I remember hearing of the event. I couldn't remember where it took place, but you are right, it was the Prince charles theatre. I've only seen bits and pieces of it on video documentary displaying his Lee-thal techniques. Then a kid came on stage.
You wouldn't happen to be that same kid that was up on stage with him for a photo shot, would you? Just out of curiousity.

@oOMarsmannOo hi, i bunked off class in year 11/1996 (sec school)..to see jet li @ the prince charles! I was around 11 at the time.
we saw fist of legend and black mask or dr wai..jet came on stage and did few shapes! That was some adventure for me and came home not knowing what to say to my family? Oh the memories..
But i used to visit the shops in camden and then in shafs..i do remember the long face dude who is known as chris..But had no issues with those boys!

@oOMarsmannOo To be honest, I never really new the guy, but I couldn't believe that people had it in for him.

@elshowgun15 I remember some of the market sellers in brixton, but some of their copies were absolute crap - really bad picture quality. When you brought the video back, they'll say that the problem is with your VHS. There were times when you get a clean crisp picture though. There was a time where Jet Lee came to London to promote himself and his movies (i wasn't there), because I heard a conversation between the market seller and customer that Chris was being a difficult person at the event.
-
@oOMarsmannOo Clearly he didn't want to talk about it and kinda made me feel stupid for asking.

@TheRealPeople1 I also visited this store a few times when it was in Shaftsburys Avenue. I never really had problems with Chris he was always quiet when I shopped in there. Never a hello, but just about a g'bye.
One time when I was in there, Johnathan Ross popped in. The first and only time I've ever seen him in person (and much taller than I thought). I raised my head to him as a greeting, but he blanked me. When he left, I asked Chris "Was that Johnathan Ross?" he sombrely replied "yes" ...
