Fatwa for a Swedish cartoon - 26 Sep 07

A newspaper editor in Sweden has had a fatwa issued against him by Al Qaeda in Iraq after he published controversial cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed.

The country's Muslim community have reacted with outrage - bu the editor says he had to act.

@TheRockZH, Dude its to easy to fight among ourselves than to bring peace, i'm trying something from my end to explain the situation and how people should integrate themselves within the society though each and everyone has a different tradition, beliefs and customs. When the government has a law, Islam has its own law, they call it Fatwa, Sharia etc. Which i beg pardon to describe is a bull shit !!!, I'm really sorry my Muslim brothers and friends, i would term it a barbaric law. So all the educated Muslims friends just use the moral values that you learn in your education and live a life free from fundamenalistic ideologies and stop killing people in the name of religion.

I might sound harsh, but its how the people are in Swedish, they are tolerant, they can voice their opinions, its the freedom of Speech, he would have also drawn cartoons from any religion, if you dont like it then dont look at it, if you are not tolerant then it cant be helped, if you cant blend in this society you are welcome to leave the country. But remember, this is the country which is helping you to settle in after all your hardships you faced in your motherland. Nurture Tolerance!!!
