On Christmas Eve of 2009 a winter storm developed that rocked Kansas City and pretty much the whole middle of the country. Kansas City was put under a Blizzard Warning which I can't recall if that's ever happened before. I went out with my Flipcam a few different time to get some images from the storm. My 2nd time outside was probably the most dramatic since the snow made the visibility so low. It was a dream for snow lovers and a nightmare for snow haters but was amazing either way.

  • Best Christmas ever!!! :D I want another one just like that one!!! Just so you know, when you first started talking I was like "Oh my gosh its Nicolas Cage!!!!" ;)

  • @electragoob I agree... I thoroughly enjoyed that storm. I know it came at a bad time for a lot of people but I had nowhere to go anyway. And you're the 2nd person who has commented saying I sound like Nicolas Cage. :-)

  • @RickXTN By the way... the other comment about sounding like Cage was when I shared the video on a website.

  • Those look like the Kendallwood Apartments, which I'm just north of by maybe a mile-and-a-half.... Weird.

  • @AudioVisualMatter Actually this was recorded by the Knollwood Apartments on Vivion.

  • Everybody in northwestern Missouri (coincidentally where I live) will want me lynched for this, but damn I miss this winter.

  • @NashvilleKildCountry I'm with you. For weeks when it's a bit too warm for my liking (low 80s or higher) I'll tell people, "What I wouldn't give for some snow about now." Most people look at me like I'm crazy but winter, in terms of weather, is my favorite season of the year BY FAR.

    Absolutely correct! You're smart!

  • @vancouvermild no because white rock is probably on the west coast with the influence of the pacific.

  • i'm gonna be in kansas city on the 14th of december what the hell should i wear? the weather forecast shows -4 degrees. i come from a country where winters are just like in california maybe a bit warmer. should i wear everything in my closet or what?

  • That crap was not fun to drive in .

  • @RickXTN

Did you know that a city in Canada (White Rock) NORMALLY enjoys MUCH, MUCH milder winters than Kansas City. For your reference, its winters are also much milder than Oklahoma City. Surprised?
