I have so many coal cars that I cannot even find a place to put them. Lots are in boxes and some stored in the closet. i keep buying anything new that comes out. bad idea i guess. I spent yrs at the CSX former C&O n chessie system docs toledo ohio with my dad running coal and iron ore trains growing up. Too bad our generations are loosing the past quickly too homeland security idiot RR officials. I love Iron Ore and coal drags. Plus mosnter grain trains. Nice layout and great vid

Nice, recently or at least over the last year or so i have noticed that CSX and NS are briingign back a lot of old school coal cars. Sadly it is the flood of scab ass xport coal going to ASIA,, CHINA. I was in Fostoria OH with my wife and a small group of our toledoOhindependentrailfan group and there was a CSX coal drag with even scrap metal former coal cars being used on a beat up way cool monster coal train. Three SD50-2 out front and the entire train was old rusty cola cars bath tub gons

The Rio Grande shall live forever! I model the Rio Grande and have this train and it is my crown jewel. I remember seeing this train back in 1981 while stationed at Fort Carson. Nice video!

I bought the cars when Athearn made them I have collected them all, as far as I know they have been discontinued so dont know if you will be able to get any any time soon.
