I now have very good reason to believe this is an "Atomic Hydrogen" reaction. Notice how it happens on only one electrode...and notice the emission spectrum (same as hydrogen)

  • The explosion pressure is somewhere around 7 bars, and even if this the bottle can withstand 7 bars static (it probably cant) there's good chance a sharp explosion will shatter it anyway.

    What if hydrogen+oxygen in that bottle blows from a spark, spraying caustic and shrapnel all over.

  • Thanks for your concern, but, once again "I am an experienced experimenter" and I am well aware of the caustic element in the vapors.
