To all the people freaking out about mistreatment of the hatching baby chick, look at my video "baby chicks first peach" and you will see that baby chick with its mother enjoying life. I am not sure which one is the chick in the egg, because they all look alike, but no harm was done by picking up the egg.

@tommvcp Comments like that give animal rights people a bad name. The chick in the egg has raised several broods of her own and is now a happy, healthy grandmother. She has a big chicken condo and is allowed to free range with supervision. Maybe I know something you don't about raising chickens.

the tiny flare up at 1:27 is so cute of the chicken who is not laying on the egg but her own area... she keeps looking that direction. was the egg still chirping? the audio didn't pick it up so well.

@VampireRuki and your username is "vampire" and you talk of a hen attacking him, no that's not necessarily true, the mother hen has other babies and is working on them still. And they didn't mean to put negative comments. I couldn't tell if the baby was still chirping after the egg was set back down.. but it looks like the beak's position changed and that may have killed it. if only the end showed the live chick from the same egg...

@wallie356 he needs to stop tapping it. you have to be very carefull if you have an egg with a hole and it's still chirping, it can still live, it's very dangerous. not anyone can just do it. I hope to God he didn't actually kill it.I'm at 0:45 and I will make this last comment on the vid unless I get a response ;)

at 0:26, I have a two hens that look different from each other, but both look like that one with the yellow line stripe thru its feathers on their bodies... one does have the yellow head, and my other one dont.

@dblockmoney34 Ummmmm I doubt she would do that. Chickens wouldn't kill their babies because humans touch them.
