  • Master Jake, on my computer it want me to save it on another folder and it doesn't work for me.

what do I do? Save it on the file it tells me too, or something else?

  • @Jinago1 I'm not sure what you mean. If you're getting permissions errors, save the file to your Desktop, then drag and drop that file into System32 and press "Allow" on the security dialog.

  • when i try this, command prompt says it couldnt find it. but then i can go into system 32 and it is there. help?

  • @Jaimegirl96 That alone doesn't really make sense. Make sure that the filename is something.bat (the .bat extension is important) and that your command name doesn't have spaces in it. You could also try expliciting putting the .bat on the end when you run the command (e.g. instead of delcookies you might run delcookies.bat). If that still doesn't work, you could try putting your custom commands in some other folder and editing your %PATH% environmental variable to point there.

  • @MasterJake777 (this is a continuation of my other comment) what i did notice was that i needed to type del * to delete all cookies. That is however already a recognized command, so i haven't appeared to have changed anything. I tried all of your suggestions minus the %PATH% one, which i dont quite understand. Thanks!

  • @bobthefrogtophat Here's how to do the path thing (which might work). Pick some other directory to put your commands in (like make a new folder in the C:/ drive called "Batch Commands"). Now put your commands in that folder instead. To change your %PATH%, visit this address and read the section for whatever version of Windows you're on:

    java (dot) com/en/download/help/path (dot) xml

At the end of the path, add the following: ;"C:\Batch Commands\"

    Hopefully that should work.

  • if its not working its beacause you dont have xp

  • XP ! I dont like XP

  • I love doing this. but, what sucks, is that when ever you run a virus scanner it counts that command a virus because its not an original file in that directory.,

  • @MasterJake777 I seem to have the same problem as this Jaimgirl96 character. I followed all your steps in the video (except writing echo), but when i pulled up the cmd at the end it merely said it was not a recognized command and such. I tried at the .bat onto the end when typing it in cmd, yet that didn't improve it. However, i can access my system 32 folder and open/use the program from there for the yahoo website opening. What i did notice was that

  • i tryed delcookies and it worked lol
