The way to actually 'take him out proper' is to jump up onto that wire there. There's this sort of kick-jump thing you can do to get yourself up onto that wire, you can then stand on that and shoot down. Much easier. Though the foot thing works well too, actually. I'd forgotten you could do that, haha.
