So this is what happens when I eject an external drive in OSX Lion. I have 1 external drive with 2 partitions, one of which is "Boot Disk." When I eject the entire drive (both "devices"/partitions), one of the "devices" ejects properly and the other ("Boot Disk") just flashes back and forth between "Boot Disk" and "Macintosh HD." Finder also starts taking up 5-10% of CPU. The only way to fix it is to reboot.
