Well, Endimione was sung by Brandon Ring, who is a counter tenor, and definitely a man.

The only 3 ladies in the show:

Yes, a "counter", sure, not an "ordinary one". We talk about Endimione, do we ? However, sung by a woman it is wrong and doesn´t sound nice.

Countertenor... its far too high for a regular tenor to sing nicely

I´ve seen this opera and this role was sung by a male tenor, as it´s supposed to be done. Female voice doesn´t fit somehow.
