ur problem is with your graphics card, the flickering says it dosent know the refresh rate or its refresh rate is set really low.
I predict it was updateing the graphics card driver and the computer shut off.
acer is a good company, but I dont trust ati worth shit with gfx cards. I like the amd processors though.
if you wish we can use teamveiwer, so that I can remote in and help you, or we can try a live feed and I can give you instructions.

ha i ran in this video looking for a way to update my asphire 5100 ati radeon 1100 , i also recommend not buying this piece of SHIT! every time i turn around its fucking up.... "oh im just buying it for my son". don't buy it you can't even watch PorN! had windows vista downgraded to xp service pack 3 runs better... i recommend for your computer though... flushing it down the toilet... cant even run games on this junk... 2 years old... runescape laggs... "i dont play it"

does it do it when it boots the bios screen? if not ... uninstall your graphics driver and let window find the best update. by the way it could be a ribbon between the board and the screen??
