@MegaCupcakesRule Her religion is the same as mine, I'm a muslim too. :) And the head scarf has nothing to do with marital status. A muslim girl should start to wear hijab at the age of 15 (at the latest). And not all muslim girls or women wear hijab, but usually if a firl or woman wears it, she should wear it always; not to wear it sometimes and sometimes not. But of course, Nojoud is so young, she doesn't have to wear the hijab yet.

@m4yflower I think it's because as long as she has her head itself covered and she is no longer married she doesn't have to wear the full head scarf. I think that's what I remember from her autobiography. I think the book is called Nojoud, age 10 and divorced. It's a powerful read. Not wearing her scarf is not likely to please the french, but just because of her marital status in her religion. Try the book, it blew me away.
