This is what my idle sounds like and a couple of revs. Carbs FTW.

***This video was uploaded after the installation of the big cams. Long duration, high lift. You are listening to a lumpy idle and not out of sync carbs. Also, I'm missing 2 engine braces and that's why the engine has allot of movement. +1 to all those who realized that the carbs are on point.

  • Hi mate, where did you get your 304 cams from? I want to get some exhaust cams too, getting roughly 200BHP with the shopping list I made for my next project...

    Thanks.

  • @TheCorollagti Sorry about the late reply but I got them from someone on club4ag.com.

  • Unlike a girlfirend, this engine has four holes that suck

  • Looks great but sounds lazy like it needs a lighter flywheel.

  • @pinkae86 Well, i guess that i've just got half of the money right then... But it's a nice piece of work you've got there. A job well done!

  • @FMKoTRITTONo It's going to have more power with a lighter weight as well. The new setup is almost complete. The 13b is more balanced than this 4ag that I was running.

  • @runescapeownsnubs Agreed with the engineer.

  • @rowentan The crappy idle is because of the cams and not the carbs. You're right on the money, the cams were built to make power to 9500+rpm.

  • @Twenty47ep3 You got it spot on. Everyone is stating that the carbs are out of sync which they aren't. You can see when it reaches the rev limiter it moves around allot.

  • @Mooseboy240 I didn't say carbs were better. If I had the funds for itb's then I would have went that route. I got a good deal on these and thought I would give them a go. I learned allot from this build; revisiting the old school, figuring out how to convert to carbs(fuel and ignition system), and overall auto mechanics.

  • you think carbs are better than Itbs?

  • @zerohero93 Still a nice choice.

  • @SchizoFilms skyline :D
