The way of the samurai...
...A long, harsh road filled with violence and bloodshed, the samurai fight amongst each other for little reason other than the thrill of battle. Anyone who dares to get in their way are struck down by their mighty blade. These cold warriors lock emotion away in order to fight to the best of their ability, without getting tethered down by sadness or remorse. They live for the fight, and they will continue to fight, until the fateful day comes when they are killed themselves by their own kind.
With nothing to truly hold them back, samurai are the ultimate killing machines, but some want more. More swords. More kills. More power.
Some even sacrifice their very selves for this power...
Enjoy!

Don't let this video fool you: I've got nothing at all against Date Masamune. I actually think he's pretty cool. Anybody who can ride a horse the way he does, fights with six swords at once, and can PARTY is cool in my book. His source game isn't too bad either from what I've played of it.
Its just that I like Genjuro more. :P
Speaking of Date, his AI is, for lack of a better word, brutal. If he's a distance away from you he'll spam the hell out of his ground and air projectiles, and when you get hit by or block one, he'll rush in and start smashing your face. The AI knows how to mix it up up-close, almost too well in fact. It almost seems like the second you crouch he'll do his overhead attack, and if you're blocking and not crouching he'll sweep you. Either way he goes, if one of his attacks manages to get through, he'll start one of his many crazy combos. God forbid if he has his partner ready to attack...
To rub salt on the wound, Date's AI also LOVES to taunt. Every time he knocks you down and away from him he'll taunt you, thinking he's safe from any wakeup attacks. If you're fast enough though, you can pluck 'im with a projectile if you have one before he can fire his own, to show 'im who's boss.
Character-wise, Date's a good character overall. Easy to combo with, has a special move for every situation, and a couple decent supers. He even has his Basara KO from the source game. Its basically an instant kill with cool music, done Houkto no Ken style, which the AI will use the second you let your guard down. Fantastic.
Oh my God! Is there a version of Date that isn't cheep, or an AI patch or something, I really want the guy, but he is Practically impossible to beat. Please enlighten me.

@Popcornroman Lol, sorry, but this is the only Date out there.
You're gonna have to sharpen your skills a bit...or go at him with a character who has better gameplay mechanics. :P
