Moluccan activists on Euromast in Rotterdam (NL)

12-10-2007 International Day for the Human Rights.

Some Moluccan activists took this opportunity to protest against the human rights violations of the Indonesian government and its military forces to the Moluccan people.

In Indonesia people are sentenced for 17 years only for owning the RMS (Republic of the South Moluccas) flag. Even the bombers of Bali have a lower sentence.

The Moluccan people are treated as terrorist, but actually the Indonesian government is the biggest terrorist.

This protest is dedicated to the people who are in jail at the moment and their families.

We only want our freedom back!

1957-1959 The Dutch fund the North Maluku Republic to re-create failed Dutch puppet Republic which was destroyed by Maluku Nationalists in 1948.

Crime is committed by Muslim and Christian alike- the police are Christian Maluku- but the Army is Muslim and from Java and Sumatera.

There is nothing in Maluku- only gas and oil 15 km offshore.

The issue in Maluku is due to the DUtch.

In 1600's- the Dutch forced all Maluku to convert to Protestantism- or be expelled.

The true Muslim rulers of Maluku were expelled.

This is why the conflict rages-Ambon, Maluku, Ternate and Sulawesi- were Sultanates actually before Java became Muslim in 1400.

So thank the Dutch- who keep sponsoring terrorism in Maluku to access the offshore gas for Shell.

Maluku must join Java or die.
