The posts keep saying "prices will increse". What about cell providers doing away with unlimited data plans? The merger will happen because for every opposer, there are 10 that don't oppose. Those that want to keep jobs here, know what.we need to do. FYI it is not the carrier that hikes up the prices on the purchase of cellphones. The manufacturer.of the phones. And in a down economy consumers know how to manage their own money.

AT&T has been the largest political campaign contributor for the last 15 years and they're (you're) presently doing one fund raiser after another. @sunlee In a down economy, what industry hasn't laid off people. That is not what the focus is. The workers need a suitable work environment, good practices and fair policies. Government has done far more worse things that are much more apparent collectively that has affected the nation and your upset over a possible merger. Any job kept in the US is better and "still" contributing to a declining economy.
