This is not the best Joy Division cover in the world. Whoever put it up is being really, really, ironic, and all the hipsters tweeting about it like it's something special are being annoying twits on purpose. That said, it's imaginative, and different. But it doesn't preserve the mood of the original song at all; feels like a parody.

er, actually i was not being ironic, it really is the best Joy Divsion cover I have ever heard! Very different from the original, replacing intensity with exuberance perhaps. but as with any good cover version it highlights what great songwriters the band were. This was part of 'procession', celebrating the many heros of Manchester culture, and this is very much a celebration of the city and the band.
