What will be left in deep sleep? The Absolute, that Stateless State, within which all states [waking, dreaming, and deep sleep] are experienced, that pure consciousness that cannot be described is always present. It is here now; we are That ! http://www.mooji.org
@avedic the absolute is there ..because it sees even the i am..and the deep sleep...consciousness is still there...but your self image of yourself is dispersed...duality or illusions dies.....

It seems more folks are looking inward these days. I hope it continues. Too long we have been misguided down the road of religion. We are matter + energy. Nothing less. No heaven, no hell, just energy which is love.

My posts below must sound cloying and annoying. Forgive my persistent questioning. :) I'm just confused by THIS particular issue. I'm new to spirituality. Raised Catholic, was "born again" in highschool, atheist in college, and now I'm finally able to admit..I don't know. The mystery is overwhelming and...blissful to contemplate. My education has come primarily from Ram Dass, Alan Watts, and Adyashanti. I'm new to Mooji. But, something about him resonates with me deeply. I like him a lot so far.

@satjathamma I agree with everything you said. The trouble is, when you said, "the meaning of nothingness is absolutely nothing, empty of all thing, does not contain anything, therefore not even experience can be within it." This sure sounds like the absence of "I". Meaning...when death occurs, your awareness itself dies along with the form. In other words, you "black out" and no longer exist at all. It's all over. Death is the end. It just makes me feel so nihilistic. I hope I'm wrong...

Last post. Promise. :) I'm absolutely intrigued by consciousness and nondual ideas. Alan Watts & Adyashanti have been big teachers in my life. And, after seeing this video, I fully intend on watching every Mooji video. He seems like the real deal. But.....the fear I can't get over is the fear that death is like deep sleep. Because deep sleep sure seems like the ABSENCE of.....anything at all. And people who say it's not like that, like Mooji here, honestly seem to be....guessing. So frustrating

He talks about this "something that cannot be described" and "what is left after even I am is gone." Well, it's nice to imagine that what left is some pure consciousness...but, couldn't it be that it's actually the CESSATION of awareness? I mean, ALL forms come and go. What if....awareness itself does to? I'd love to believe awareness is the ground of being that remains even after death...but deep sleep sure makes me doubt that. Wish I knew... Guessing doesn't help any..

:/ I came upon this video after pondering the exact same fear the woman had. In deep sleep there seems to be ZERO awareness or consciousness at all. Nothing...at all. If death is like this, then yes, I fear death. If death is the absolute absence of ANYTHING...including awareness itself...who wouldn't fear that? Even after watching this video, I'm left even more confused and frustrated than before. He said, "Even deep sleep is enjoyed." Um...not really. Enjoyed? I'm not even aware... :(

Thumbs up if you are an atheist or a non-believer in the god you were taught at school etc...

this is the great paradox, when we are experiencing, meaning we see, we hear, we smell, we are consciouss of, and aware of whatever we are experiencing, this is the meaning of experiencing, if there is nothing, how can any experience take place? you cannot say after you finnish sleep, I was experiencing my sleep, or I was experiencing nothingness, the meaning of nothingness is absolutely nothing, empty of all thing, does not contain anything, therefore not even experience can be within it.
