Hey Droidoholics! Check out this old Linux IBM 2003 Ad. The 3 ads were produced by Ogilvy, but these ads look more like the ending of Stanley Kubrick's film "2001: A Space Odyssey ". Since the 80s, Linux has morphed from being a starting player rookie in the world of Basic, Apple, Microsoft, Lotus, Cobalt, etc to the IBM team's MVP star player. Linux is portrayed in the ad as a young boy, a child prodigy absorbing knowledge from a variety of masters, and making it available to everyone.
Ad #2 shows only Muhammad Ali and instructs young Linux to "Shake it up. Shake up the world. " Being 2011 now... Linux, now a teenager, has REALLY shook up the world on PCs, Macs, Smartphones, and now with ANDROID! Enjoy Droidohilics.... Remember, the future is OPEN!
And remember to follow TheAndroidCore on twitter via @androidcore, and soon... FACEBOOK!!!
@mysteryloser24 yes. Linux, at 18 was essentially mature. At 15 was mature. At 12 was mature. Quite unlike my step uncle - who is not a stereotypical stepparent, and has repeated Year 7 due to bad grades. Now my step uncle will leave school at 19, having gone to college for 2 years - from 17 onwards, unlike I will likely leave school at 18 possibly down to 16 if all goes well.
