Sony Xplod Sound System 12" 1000w

This is my stereo system, all sony Xplod except for a pair of fusion 4" speakers in the front.
190w 2 way speakers in the spacers in the rear and a 1000w subwoofer which is powered by a 700w 4 channel sony xplod amp, can't really tell how well the sub is working in the video but, it thumps pretty hard for "the dreaded sony xplod" everybody that diss's sony xplod, probably hasn't actually had an Xplod system, or if they did they set it up shit! cos they aren't the best in the world but they certainly aren't bad!

JogaBonitoBoys: I got the same 1000w xplod sub and head unit which I paired 2x 6.5'' tweeters running them off a 600w alpine subwoofer and the guy at BDL car stereo that fitted it was so amazed at how good the sub quality was. I picked up the speakers and sub for $189 & he was so surprised with the quality. So all the haters out there hating the xplods dont know anything about them. A total bargain for the price lets hope they last!

@brad1468 yeah man, sony xplod isnt as bad as people say.

i've given my xplod system to my brother nowadays pretty much, i bought a fusion powerplant 12" (free) and i'm running that & a pair of 7x10 kenwoods ($50) off of a 1600w fusion powerplant amp which i picked up for $250, up front are just a pair of 4" fusions for highs pretty much (dont need much up front cos it's such a small car, they're pretty much tweeters haha)

You live in Canberra? just saw BDL car Stereo haha if you do man im car audio at JB DFO and yeah man im running two of these through a Pioneer D class 8400 mono ( 600RMS) with a 1 Farad Rockford Fosgate capacitor about to get myself some MB Quart 6" splits

@Fooled26 hey man, i ended up with a 1600w fusion 4 chan which im running my sub off 2 channels and a pair of kenwood 7x10s off the other 2 channels, and put in a capacitor. went with 3.5 farrad, cos i'll be looking to upgrade soon... goes really good, just need a H/O alternator now

A small subwoofer taking more power than a starter motor? If that has that much wattage at full blast in less than two hours your battery is dead. Unless you put some more batteries and probably one more alternator or leave the car running to listen to music xD

And dose a 1300 watt have a better sound than a 1000 watt?

i got a pair of 5.25 cadence splits and 2 pioneer 160w mids and a 1000w sony xplod sub like the 1 in the video...really amazing, i agree people who critisise dont know what they saying

I have the same sub and enclosure, ran by a cheap 50 dollar 400watt dual amp, it kicks pretty good, its in my girls 09 pontiac g6 GT sedan obviously would be better in a coupe but gotta work with what ya got and it sounds perfect with the upgraded monsoon system that came in the car, the monsoon system is already pre-amped and has 8 speakers, pretty sure it's 5 by 9 or 6 by 9 in the back with a mid level speaker on both of them and 5 1/2 up front with two tweeters on each side of the door.

I'm guessing that you live in South Australia with the 2nd red P's you know anything about the car laws with what type of Subs are allowed? I am guessing theses are allowed :D I may be getting the Sony's, Fusions or JVC/Pioneer not really sure at the moment till I drop by a big enough Repco that allows you to check on the speakers/subs sound quality :D

@brad1468 Man i had an alpine type s then i got 2 of these recently cuz i got an amazing deal. the alpine type s is cleaner but i'd say the 2 sonys outboom the one alpine.

oh cool cool man yeah im pretty pleased with it i just need to tidy it up a bit

ive recorded a 138.5 dB in it so i intend on running it in some SPL contests soon

and once ive tidied all my wiring up ill have a video goin

Yeah im never a fan of bridging a multi channel amp but if you havent had issues yet it should be fine but it isnt the best option lol but if you are running it through a 3.5 cap you should be perfectly fine and yeah the older cars will need a new alternator if you intend on some serious power
