  • It seems like the Tank Paul is battling with the Bethany Paul with himself.

It seems these pasts few years your still fixated on the same one subject....Religion. So many views people have different views but as life goes by so does changes and events. For me it really wasn't about religion it was more about the study of apparitions in the after life. I found that reading the bible ridiculous and useless. Its more for me that where the hell do you go in the after life, for I have seen ghosts...

  • @Varkeo lol the tank Paul I remember that. I am fixated on religion because it has been a big part of my life and because I just want to get as close to the truth as possible. I also love debating too because I feel like I learn more when I here other people's point of view. As far as ghosts go I want to visit a Haunted house one day and try and see a ghost. I have never seen one before. I don't know what I would think if I saw one.

  • You say that most atheists aren't like that, and I think that may be true. But, I do think there's a trend of atheists going more down that path. It's less about being rational and more about being anti-theists. You say you do not believe in God, but you aren't absolutely sure. It just depends on what you mean by not sure. Atheists who say they are 99.99999 percent sure...I would say that they are sure. Anyway, I enjoyed your video. Thanks for the response. =)

  • @thedefendingchamp (part 2) The arguments that theists put fourth are unconvincing because they propose arguments that already have other explanations (stuff like look at the sky and the trees or DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT WAS A Coincidence ). Or they give the god of the gaps argument. (which flawed) If humans can't explain something then god is the answer. Just like thousands of years ago when lighting struck. People thought that it must be Zeus because how else could it have happend.

  • @gokuhawks14 I think the god of the gaps argument is not always mad. I mean it is certainly not fact and nothing to be confident about...but I think there's a certain amount of validity there depending on how the person is defining God. If you use the god of the gaps argument to try to prove your religious dogma, it doesn't make much sense. But, I think there are some mysteries and even connections (DNA stuff) that can be made which could lead one to think there is some sort of designer.

  • @thedefendingchamp Can you give me an example of when this type of argument makes sense. (basically if we don't understand (A) than (B) must be the answer) How does DNA (A) assume a creator (B). Maybe this is a possibility, but is in no way a certainty. Even if you eliminate all other possibilities it still does not mean that there are possibilities that humans haven't thought of. The gaps argument assumes the answer to a question that without showing evidence of it. That is the problem.

  • @gokuhawks14 Yes...That is exactly what I was saying...a possibility and not a certainty. There are lots of things like this....You might smell a crap but you don't see it....You take a guess as to what the smell might be. Is the smell hard evidence? No, assuming you don't see any shit and no one else is in the room...you might start making a guess as to what it might be without seeing any evidence.

  • @thedefendingchamp *not always bad

  • @thedefendingchamp (part 1) I myself would not put a percentage on how sure I am that no god exist. Because there is so much space that have not explored. Too many things out there that we don't know or understand. So I can't put a number of how certain I am that there is no god. I just don't see convincing evidence of a god (at least in the sense of how most religions define god) If I see convincing evidence I may change my mind.

  • It will be difficult to get you to change your view point since I known you longer than anyone and your videos provide some convincing points. I wouldn't say that you are a close minded person for I have already mentioned that change can happen. I support your videos bro.

  • As far as the hallucinating thing goes...I don't do LSD or any other drugs so that wouldn't be my first thought. Dreaming maybe but like I said and like you mentioned if other people we knew could confirm that they were having the same visions for an extended period of time, I would have little reason to continue thinking it was a hallucination. Then, we get into the issue of how we define God and some people might say oh well that's an all powerful and all knowing ALIEN but not God of course.
