  • Incorrect, we do not have bird-eating spiders, we have Eastern Tarantulas that are often nicknamed "bird eaters" because... well, they eat birds.

  • because of our gross hot weather we have the most ugly scary ones :(

  • dunno if u know but tarantulas and bird eating spiders are the same thing!

  • So Itchy

  • BTW - ANyone who lives in OZ can likely relate to this, but this is a very Sydney thing. It is not uncommon to get in your car at night to drive home and as you get onto the main road a giant bloody Huntsman starts crawling across the inside of your windscreen ... I've had this and I've seen cars drive up the curb when this happens too ... it's not fun and it scares the shit out of you.

  • If you grew up in Sydney ... particularly the Norther Beaches, you would see pretty much all of these spiders in the garden and around the house as I did growing up. We had Funnel Webs, Trap Doors, Red Backs, Huntsmans etc etc etc ... it was part of the wildlife. You just learned to steer clear and to check your gloves and shoes if left outside before wearing.

  • im from detroit michigan where the most common house spiders are itty bitty or daddy long legs. my mom got offered a job interview in i belive perth...are those crazy things everywhere? and in houses? i would have a heart attack if i saw one of those in my house...

  • I live 45 minutes from Melbourne and most of the spiders in this clip I have seen in my backyard, if not my house. I haven't seen the bird eater or the tarantula tho. I tend to get a huntsman in my house at least once a month. They're very common so if you're arachnophobic you might have a bad time in Australia.

  • Those spiders should have fucking health bars I swear!

  • @SuperBS91

We get them EVERYWHERE!!! and im shit scared of them lol.
