How to play the 10 string Kantele (mjk electric kantele demo)

The 10 string kantele is a comparitively easy instrument to start strumming with, in this clip I am using an electric model but the technique is the same, I made this short video last year as an experiment, the equipment/production is a bit crude, and the sound quality awful, but I think it still works to give a sketch of the playing skills used.
There are some Finnish kantele playing VCD/DVD's (in english!) coming out soon from some excellant players, I hope to redo this wth the acoustic 10 string and 5 string next year myself as well.

I hope to film a much better version after christmas this year, thanks for your suggestion, I will make sure i include a tuning guide as I did on my 5 string playing guide, but with the musical notation as well, cheers!

Yes You can use any guitar effects pedal/equipment with the electric kantele as it uses guitar pickups/technology. The acoustic Kantele can easily have a piezo pickup added too.
