Rich with melody, interspersed with peacefulness and drama, the finale of Symphony #3 (Pastoral Symphony) represents Ralph ( pronounced "Rafe") Vaughan Williams at his best. Vaughan William's wrote his third symphony in 1921. Richard Hickox conducts the London Symphony Orchestra and Rebecca Evans sings soprano (2002).
