The movie Bawarchi was a remake in Hindi of the earlier Bengali movie "galpo holeo satti" ( which means "Its true even though it is a story"). Which was quite a hit. The central role ( the bawarchi) was played by Robi Ghosh. As is usual in such remakes, the Hindi version was technically superb, did very well, and remains evergreen. Also, this was Rajesh Khanna at the peak of his acting abilities. Although very much a director's movie, Rajesh Khanna could put his stamp clearly.

in the film golmaal, hrishi da was there, is he the friend of amol palekar who says: 'yeh samosa nahi, yeh to behan ka pyaar hai'. isn't he hrishi da?
also the same guy is there in 'naram garam' as a brother of amol's lover who works in theatre, tell me. :)

@darrinthebold Hrishikesh Mukherjee is the director, the old man is Harindranath Chatopadhyay--Sarojini Naidu's brother as Shaky said. The handsome guy washing the dishes is Rajesh Khanna. the not so handsome guy in the scarlet shirt is Asrani.
