Stephen Sondheim's Victorian horror thriller Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is generally considered his greatest work, macabre but darkly humorous with a viscerally powerful score that has found a home both on Broadway and in opera houses. This captivating dark story features Sweeney Todd, a wronged man whose lust for revenge drives him to murder, and his partner in crime, Mrs. Lovett, who finds a practical business use for Todd's victims. This combination of horror and humor is echoed in Sondheim's score: brooding menace, achingly beautiful ballads, clever puns, coloratura arias and intricate choral and ensemble numbers.

Performed by members of the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Educations Performance Lab, this heart-pounding production is sure to delight audiences with chills and thrills.

  • Ganz gut, dafür, dass es ein Theaterstück ist, das beste was ich an theater stücken gesehen habe. Das kann man mit dem Film aber nicht vergleichen

  • johnny depp and helena bonham carter are much better :D

  • haha the music's delayed for worst pies in london :) so funny lol

  • I have a question: in every school edition I've seen, they say crazy mad. What's wrong with barkin'?

  • @emi793 Oh, and, almost everybody is doing it to look like the movie, ever since the movie came out. Now, this one seems very very much like the movie, I agree there, but nearly every Sweeney you see now has a white stripe (a movie detail)

  • @emi793 George Hearn had an american accent, and everybody else did not.

  • Why does the lead get away with an American accent when everybody else is doing their best with cockney? This is too much like the movie, it doesn't work on stage...

  • i really like the costume design of this

its based off of the movie too much, but i still like it!

the performances are good in this

  • @TaleahHannah school edition has different lyrics that are more suitable for a school to perform (keeping in mind that families will come etc) its kinda stupid, but yea

its a censored version of Sweeney Todd :P

  • 0:51 what happened there? lol
