He's only using an 18mm lens to exaggerate distortion with a wide angle. Pay attention.

@SweetPiggie85 yes it works with your camera but your camera has 1.6x crop factor so it will be about 110-320mm.

With an UWA, what would be the typical aperture range to achieve the photo in 4:10 ?

@FCPWHAT I just purchase the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS, so i hope this will work out with my camera.

70mm plus lenses give you distortion free images as well plus less of bulk of the heavier lenses. I use an 85 f1.2 L USM II which is much lighter than the 200L so you have more freedom in movement and can hold the camera without your arms falling off! Warning to anyone buying the 70-200L USM 2.8 .. its a really great lens but it weighs over 1.4kg .. i did a show with one and my arms almost came off after holding it for 8 hours on 2 consecutive days.

I totally agree. Anything over 70mm is going to be fine for "normal" portrait work. I also have an 85mm 1.2 that I love. When traveling I use my 24-70 f/2.8 L. The 70mm is great for portraits and the 24mm side is great for scenics. And it doesn't weigh 3 pounds. :)
