Fuck all you union haters....I forgot the unions deal with all the money in a company....if it wasn't for unions there would be a higher % of abandonment..how is the people not the CEOs and companys gonna rebuild Detroit cause they only see dollars and cents on a spread sheet....when were trying to make a living let a lone have $ to fix homes that are 50 yrs old.......

You can't blame Detroit on black people, they are beautiful strong people that have been led astray by the Democratic party. Starting with Jerome Cavanagh and Finished off by Lyndon Johnson's war on poverty. Just look at the History of Detroit from 1962 to 1993. a City income tax to fund more corruption and chase good business out of the city. Plus a mass transit system sold to Brazil for profit.

Such a safe, prosperous, wonderful American city at that time. It's so terribly sad to see our cities in such decline. If only some foresight in previous centuries had been implemented......

NYC was never 50% abandoned. They had a recession and bounced back because of a diverse economy and a great mass transit system which kept the core alive.

teachers unions and labor unions destroyed detroit...HUD and free loans to blacks caused white flight that destroyed the taxbase.
