@canadiens142 He's right. If I'm in a hockey game and need to tape a stick on the spot I'll do it like you said. Otherwise, when I actually have time I'll do this. This gets the bulge bigger. When you twist the strand as its coming off the roll its not as defined and tends to flatten out.
