Thanks for the upload. This game was a blast for the Genesis. I don't think it had the nice 3D intro in that version, though.

@icbrkr Improved graphics/soundtrack my ass. Which is why all the beautiful JS Bach is gone and replaced with generic Disney pirate music the dumb masses can understand. Also, the fmv intro is just focking horrendous, both graphically (so dated) and in terms of the voice acting. I've played the C64, Genesis, and original Amiga versions of Pirates and Gold on PC and the original Amiga version will always be the best, especially when playing on a A1200 installed on the hd and with a 14mhz cpu.

all Pirates games is great. even the latest version of Sid Meier Pirates

Both this and the genesis version are better than the shitty Windows 3.1 version I torrent a few months ago, the sword fighting is all screwed up in that version.

I love Pirates! Such a good game. They are making one for the Wii, but I shudder at the thought of gimmicky sword fighting with the Wii mote.

Ahh cmon, this version sucks ass. Better graphics in some parts but the feel of the amiga version is lost. Music and sound effects suck, come to think of it i dont see why anyone should play this fuckturd over the original*sigh*

More or less, improved/updated graphics, soundtrack, etc. It's pretty close to being on-par with the PC version of Pirates! Gold. If you played the original version on a PC back in the day, the improvement would be obvious.
