Be a Bridge - Kerry Bush

I hate seeing and hearing myself on camera. =/

For the Pink Menno "Be a Bridge" campaign.

Text of the poem:

"We Need to Be Bridges"

we need to be bridges.
we need to cross chasms
and reconcile differences
so we can harmonize
as one people, singing hymns
that we ALL know by heart.

what we have become
is a warring nation of pacifists
fighting over an issue
that doesn't have to divide us
like it does.

so come, brothers and sisters.
come and be together,
because we are one body,
one spirit, one hope, and
one salvation.

amen.



- the last bit of the last stanza is taken directly from something Pink Menno has done in the past (one voice?), though I'm not sure what it was and I can't find it here anywhere. if you know what it is, please let me know so I can give credit where credit is due!
