NHI demands public apology from Martin (for a job well done!)

Know what, i'm beginning to get suspicious with people trying to enclose in a box expressions of our love for country, defining them in terms of notes and mathematical precision. If that's what the law dictates in toto, it should not be in spirit. No wonder many of today's youth are turned off by historians' boring talk with their schoolmaster's approach to nationalism. You can't make people love our country by beating them with a stick!

Get it guys, it's not about tempo or any factor of musicality, the only proper way to sing the National Anthem is to SING it from the HEART!

I'm not really an admirer of Martin's smooth tongue that spun bitter intrigues in the past. But this time, I'll give it to Martin. Perhaps not perfect, but he sang the anthem well enough, and most importantly, with pride--and, that' is enough.

  • In fairness to the government agency, they are IN FACT doing their job on this one - they ensure that even singers as famous as Martin Nievera adhere to the rules.

  • sing it the way it used to be. you dont need to make your version because that is not a contest of singers. just give some respect to our national antheme.. take it seriously ! martin rivera.

  • who is this guy maritn Nievera ???

It's creativity. Wala akong nakikitang harm sa ginawa niya. After all, same lyrics pa rin nmn. Same Flag.

  • ano to? concert?

In the Bible, a question was asked, "Lord, how many times do I forgive my brother? Is it 7 times, or 77 times?" Jesus answered, "77 times 7", meaning ALWAYS.

    Ofcourse, you the Ten Commandments...
