NES HQ (neshq.com) Presents - Steve Grogan's New England Patriots drive. In what could be the matchup for this year's Super Bowl, the New England Patriots run a perfect drive on the New York Giants. Who knew Steve Grogan was so good?!?!?

  • patriots in this game are horrible, ive been playing this game since i'm like 8 and i'm 21 now, i can steamroll anybody but with the patriots i swear im ripping my hair out

  • I completely agree, the Pats are horrendous!

  • The shotgun all curl play. My favorite play in Tecmo. Even with the worst QBs, there is little or no risk of a wild throw, and the only incompletions I throw with it are dropped passes or when I dump it off to the running back when the defense calls the play.

  • Oh, hands down the greatest play in the history of football. If the 2007 Pats had ever played TSB they'd be Super Bowl champs right now.

  • Oh how many hours of my life did I waste playing this game. I loved it! Seems so generic compared to what we have now.

  • Yeah, hard to believe that this is what we came from...

  • people still play this shit

  • you suck

  • dude on tecmo super bowl, grogan cannot throw. you will have a man wide open with no one around him, and when u throw it, he mostly throws it over his head for an incompletion.

  • Well, then again, think of when the game was released. Rich Gannon wasn't even close to his MVP form of his later years back then. I don't think even Tecmo could have predicted Rich Gannon's success with the Raiders some 10-or-so years down the road (especially at that particular stage of his career).

  • the thing i learned to do with the bears is make neal anderson a wide receiver and johnny bailey as RB. tomczak starts at QB and all will be right in the world. another backup QB that goes in immediately is kelly stouffer of the seahawks.

many of my fav's wont last 5 secs without injury..

    1. mel gray

    2. gary anderson

    3. chris warren

  • I only use the actual playbooks...New England has zero shotgun plays.

  • You just have to coordinate the Pats right. Like immediately make Marc Wilson (can't believe I'd EVER say that) QB, put Eric Sievers (the backup TE) in for Marvin Allen, make all the running plays for John Stephens and PASS LIKE CRAZY. Marv Cook is a BEAST on the original TSB. Hart Lee Dykes and Irving Fryar are decent, but Marv Cook was the man. Can you tell I played this a time or 2000?

  • Grogan was once the Patriots leading rusher.

  • not bragging, but i went undefeted with the browns...the patriots and colts are the hardest to go undefeted with mainly because of having to play buffalo twice

  • i always had bad luck with the browns, losing metcalf and the other running back and then losing kosar i think as the qb.
