Tide Time at Goole, East Yorkshire, around 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. on Friday, 6th July 2007, filmed from the Lock Hill beside Hook Road. High Tide was at 10:44. The Grimsby multi-purpose workboat and dredger Rebecca M works at the river pier whilst waiting for the tide to turn. The Beronike loads in Ouse Dock whilst beyond ships move into Ocean Lock. Small craft arrive on the tide and wait in the river. The Rebecca M then sails as the PAL Line container ship Trans Agila emerges from Ocean Lock followed by a barge. PAL line run a regular container service between Goole and the East Coast of Sweden. The smaller craft waiting in the river then enter the port through Ocean Lock. Finally, the Trans Agila can be seen across the fields at Swinefleet after rounding the bend in the river. Is this a comment or a geography lesson?

No - it's a comment. Goole was in the West Riding not the East Riding.

Absolutely correct. It was West Riding until 1974 when it went into North Humberside (despite being the wrong side of Boothferry Bridge). In 1996 it was put into East Yorkshire (not Riding). The video is dated 2006, so the info describes Goole as East Yorkshire, albeit reluctantly, because many of us still prefer to think of it as West Riding.
