The barbarian has writting and i dont think it is the noble's daughter that got send to them. it is the emperor's or those that got bestow princess title.... I might be wrong but that's how i read it in chinese history book. oh another thing, the barbarian has always been the trouble even before the han dynasty. They fail to mention that. great documentary it is. lol
