Oakley (Kansas) Marijuana Drug Bust by State Troopers on May 31, 2010

When we pulled into the truck stop to eat dinner, we saw that the troopers had detained a car. About five minutes went by when another car showed up with a dog. The officer walked the dog around the car and he went "nuts" near the rear bumper. At that point the officers opened the truck and began to remove as many as SEVEN LARGE bricks of Marijuana. I would estimate at least 28 - 30 kilos.

NOTE: In audio I assumed each brick was a kilo. Come to find out that each brick was more like 3 to 4 kilos!

I believe he was pulled over from the road. His gas tank was on the other side of the pumps. He probably just pulled in for shade.

I use this gas station everytime I travel to Cincinnati from Ft Carson. Let me just add that Kansas Troopers are a joke. I have been pulled over the last 2 times on way to hometown on I-70. For absolutely bogus reasons, and then they want to question me and look in my car for drugs after they give me the "good cop" warning and not a ticket. If you deny them consent they get a dog to sniff. Im all for police nailing the bad guys but not when it comes at the expense of my freedom. Cool video tho.

Why would they have bothered the guy at a gas stop though?? That just doesn't make sense to me.. Usually, they would get a bust by pulling someone over who did something wrong on the road. Did they just happen to walk by and smell it or something??

ooohhhh Mittens Truck Stop.....Gotta LOVE oakley right? this town makes me kinda sick haha! i've lived here for nearly 8 years. Oh last night (June 3, 2011) one of my brother old buddies got pulled over down the street from our house, he was busted for Crack Cocaine, yeah, OH JOY! THIS IS THE TOWN I'M BEING RAISED IN! it's Redneck hell!
