  • Great Segment. I'm really surprised more people haven't viewed it. If you were

a boy or girl growing up in the late 1960s and early mid 70s Joe Namath

was your hero. At least to all the kids I knew.

  • @chipperwayne5 Hell I even bought his book "I can't wait until tomorrow...'cause I get better-looking every day":)

  • Broadway Joe will always be an icon, a 60's rebel and a hero.

He was not afraid to be himself.

Joe came along at the right time.

    He was something special.

    Still is.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • I love Joe Namath. He gave so much to all levels of football. As well as pop-culture. It's sad to know alcohol played such a role in his life, but he's fought it & defeated it. Life *is* a rough game. I hope he's truly still doing well.

  • @chipperwayne5 Christmas, 1970. My brother and I each got a Joe Namath #12 jersey. And an electric football game. (bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)

  • What a guy had a crush on him in the 60s still a 57 years old I think he is the best.

  • Suzie Kolber is a lesbo! She wouldn't want a kiss from Joe!

  • Broadway Joe will forever be the coolest, man.

  • most important player in the history of the NFL

  • Quite possibly the most famous football player in history. Incredible talent and that magical year of 1968 culminating in the most significant football game of the modern era...Super Bowl III. He still has a charisma that I'm not sure anyone in football has ever matched. If you ever get the chance I highly recommend watching on You Tube America's Game - The 1968 Jets.

  • what a stupid question: Did you drink before any games?

  • All of the glitz and fascination with the off-field stuff can't blind you to the fact that he was a tough S.O.B. Try standing in the pocket knowing you're gonna get run over by Buck Buchanan or Ben Davidson. I haven't found an example on film, TV, You Tube or otherwise of him bitching about it. "Poor me"...FORGET IT! FTS!

Makes me smile knowing that Joe made it onto Richard Nixon's "Enemy List". With enemies like this, who needs aliies?
