ive only watched hell girl but heard the Elfin lied was good....is it worth watching?

@pkfox100 Can't honestly give it a good recommendation because whether you think its good or not is very subjective. Elfin Lied is EXTREMELY violent, dark, and gory. It focuses on pessimistic themes, character death toll is high, children are regularly the victims of on-screen dismemberment and nudity, and it doesn't really come to any solid conclusion.

I would recommend Karas, La Petite Cosette, and Higurashi though

I remember seeing Serial Experiments Lain. I liked it because I'm a hack - err, computer science major, but that show was mindFuck with a capital F.

Shouldnt Shion from higurashi be in this two, but then agian the only times shes creepy is if shes killing sombody and then she gets that look on her face and your like holy **** thats just **** up!!!!

@Lifejustneedsdeath Depends. Animation wise, it's old... 80's or 90's vintage, and the story is downright confusing at times. But it's one of those "classic anime" that you have to watch at least once. It's kind of interesting to watch Lain progress from a schoolgirl exploring her first computer to a super-hacker who more or less lives in the digital world, with her entire room crowded with processors, wires, and coolant systems, especially for someone like me who works with computers.
