I really don't like moving prints. They're heavy and not always tightly wound. A few rollers here and there and some decent platters and you can do anything...well, almost anything. It's a 190 second travel from the time the print leaves the plate in the outgoing cinema until it hits the plate in the incoming cinema. I travelled faster.

  • is this real, or was it just done for show to prove it is possible? it just seems impractical.

  • @jeffer2m Impractical? No...2012 weighs a ton. For me though, it weighs nothing.

  • I've worked as a projectionist, but I've never seen anything like this! You would think the print would pick up air dust and dirt along it's journey?

  • True, but all our prints are cleaned as they run with FilmGuard.

  • This is just crazy but awesome!!! I've never seen anything like this before! I can see why you don't like moving prints! Great video!!

  • I once did a 7 theater tandem for fun. The automation helped with starting all the projectors at once. With well placed rollers you CAN do anything! I miss that job...

  • you must've used a ten mile leader for that. is this for real?

id hate to lace that every time

  • that tamdem leader must go on forever.

  • I can see why you do not like to move prints. You must spend a fortune in leaders. Or you must use old trailers as leaders.

  • wtf, this is amazing
