Nice job. I would only add grommet edging around cut hole to prevent wire insulation from damage due to vibration-induced chafing/abrasion. Even a filed/sanded smooth panel opening can, over time, wear through the insulation, thus shorting the wire to ground (meaning no brake or tail lights). Your airline pilot buddy would appreciate this detail, as the same treatment is widely used aboard aircraft (another vibration-prone environment).
Thanks a lot. I've wanted to do this for years. I've had it explained to me, and knew I could do it, but was still nervous about messing up my bike. Your tips and video have given me the confidence to do it.
Great work, simple and incredibly effective. Already have a custom carbon rear on my monster but it's so bloody custom i cant get new indicator lenses. You just saved me wasting lots more money on a different tail piece. I work in metal fab - so i feel a foreigner coming on..... Thanks again.

I wouldn't do it myself to my monster but it's great to know what exactly to ask for. Thanks for the video!
