In college, I believed he could have finished his film if he hadn't taken a sidetrack and done Roger. But who knows? The big thing that killed the film is that the backers he eventually got heard Disney would release Aladdin - a rip-off in many ways - at the same exact time, so they pulled the plug, and the Completion Bond Company took it away from him. A professor I had at the time STILL listed the film as a success, because of the gorgeous work he got on film, even in a truncated form.

It's heartbreaking to see him talking about the film, it was his baby and his precious and it was pulled out from under him.

That's so damn friendly of this dude 3:21

How could you be so knowingly horrible to someone? He spent 23 years of his life on his masterpiece BEFORE disney funded the remainder. They then stole it and pissed on it.

@supersonic922 Yeah and they released it through Miramax with some catchy tunes animated so that it sticks out like a sore thumb. They just made it into a big practical joke and I'm not sure on whom.

@Rebochan - Could not agree more, heart breaking to watch it, really.

Wow, it's so hard to watch him talk all optimistically about the film...not knowing what would happen to his masterwork in only a few years.

The princess and the frog has a very nifty card scene of its own, but I instantly knew where it came from.

Disney was originally going to release the Calvert cut, but instead made some more changes to the film so it would have a better chance of making more money at the box office by adding voices for purposely mute characters and pop culture references that turned the film into a 90's sitcom. This was how Disney repaid Williams after he gave them "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". SCREW DISNEY!!!
