"Super Glow" - Time-lapse Pen Illustration - JeffJag

This drawing started out as the circle at the center of the flower near the middle. After adding other semi-circles around it, I realized it looked like a rose. You can watch the drawing progress from there through this time-lapse capture below. The drawing was completed over the course of 4 days, with as little as a half hour of work being added in between two longer drawing sessions. A Pink Lady apple appears near the beginning of the clip, shrinks as I eat it, browns slightly, then gets thrown away. I also had a bit of fun creating a stop motion effect with my unused pens on top of the drawing. This was initially an effort to focus the camera on the plane of the drawing before turning auto-focus off to save battery life. This drawing represents a stream of consciousness flow of ideas which was created as time passed to allow the viewer an insight into my method of drawing.

I'm a huge fan of the Flaming Lips, and their track titled "Space Bible with Volume Lumps" from the soundtrack to their movie, Christmas on Mars makes a really great background track for this clip. However, Warner Music Group would not like me to include it with this video, so I've recorded an audio commentary of myself talking about the drawing as you watch. If you happen to own that song already, there's nothing to stop you from muting my commentary and synching that song to this video... that is, if you're so inclined...
