My Choice 47 - André Rieu - Lullaby by Mozart

A nice melody and many photos of cute babies being serenaded by André Rieu.

A lullaby is a soothing song, usually sung to children before they go to sleep, with the intention of speeding that process. As a result they are often simple and repetitive. Lullabies can be found in every human culture and seem to have been used at least from the ancient period.

This selection is attributed to Mozart but it may also belong to Bernhard Flies.

The English term lullaby is thought to come from 'lu lu' or 'la la' sound made by mothers or nurses to calm children, and 'by' or 'bye bye', either another lulling sound, or a term for good night. Until the modern era lullabies were usually only recorded incidentally in written sources.

my baby daughter really loves this video & piece of music. It really relaxes her. Which Mozart piece is it??

@louisefoody Your baby daughter has a good taste for music. When my kids were small, I used to play beautiful soft music for them. When they grew up, they used to play rock 'n roll and loud stuff to compensate me :))

I don't know the details but I think Mozart composed this on its own. It's definitely a beautiful melody not just for babies but even for us adults.

children are such miracles. I am 12 and still a child and even i understand, YES little kids can be annoying, but then you realize, they could actually accomplish a LOT in their future and you realize, that children are miracles and that we are the future :)
