I selected Playa Del Carmen, Mexico for the first show in large part because of the unfair bad press the destination was receiving. I decided to do something about it and used my own money to film this pilot. I hope you enjoy!

Just watched this again and forwarded the link to the PR company in NYC that is heading up a huge campaign for the Mexico Dept. of Tourism. I did an interview with them last week and I think they would love to see this. There may be an opportunity for you all to work together!

@BuyPlaya Thanks Rob! I think everyone locally will benefit if we could get the funding to film more shows. People are very visual and need to see quality product....to me it's a no brainer. I mean $30 million USD is being spent on a taxi cab confessions type of campaign which is in my opinion not the best way to convince people to come down. People may not trust these "edited" taxi cab videos vs a crazy guy from Montreal who's not afraid to call it how he see's it :)

Thanks for the positive thoughts on Playa and the Yucatan in general! This will be our 5th trip in 5 years and we have never felt that we were in slightest bit of danger down there!! We rent a vehicle and drive through the jungle to Merida and Progresso which are just as safe as Playa!! I hope this does convince people that the people of the Yucatan deserve to be recognized as friendly and non-threatening!! Thanks again for the positive thoughts!!

@barbcroft59 I think anyone who's been down there will agree with you, it's not as bad as it seems. I was hoping to film many more of these shows with the $ help of the tourism board because people need to see Mexico from "our perspective". Glad you liked it!
