My husband's co-worker's father, Bill Dilios, recently taught me how to make Albanian chicken pie the way his mother made it for him in Politsani, Albania. It's like chicken pot pie, but it's made of filo and there's an epic story built inside. To find it, Google Inside Immigrant Kitchens. It's my November 2009 blog post.
@lynzerbee this dish can be found all over Albania from the north to the south.

@irene716 There are many cultures in Albania. Bill's small town, Politsani, as I understand it, was once part of Greece. The culture there (food, music, religion) is more like Greek culture that of other parts of Albania. The town is in Albania today, though. I wonder if that explains your feeling that it is not Albanian food?
