My take on the introduction scene of Chamber of Secrets had David Yates directed it and the first movie. Just a bit of fun. May do more in the future. I'm open to requests.

Bye!

Harry Potter is owned by Warner Brothers and JK Rowling. This is not negociable.

  • Wow, that was really cool. I really like the direction in which Yates is taking the films. I can't wait to see what he does with Deathly Hallows. I just wish he would have done a little better on the ending of Half-Blood Prince. That was the only part of the movie that sucked, because it was way too rushed!

  • Thank you! I actually didn't have a problem with the climax for the most part. Everything that was in was done well I thought, there was maybe just a bit too little of it. If DH or something ended like that, THEN I would've had a problem, so I'm glad they chose this film to end openly, it lets us remember that there are 2 more awesome installments still to come! DH Part I looks like it might be my favourite of the films from what I've heard. Until Part II of course.

    :)

  • Very cool. That opening of HBP is probably the best minute or so of the entire franchise. I'm a fan of David Yates too!

  • Thanks. And yep, I love Yates' movies. I really don't think he gets enough credit for the movies. So things are cut from the plot here and there (not his fault) so did GOF, and that was better how?

    :)

  • That was so good.

And that track just makes everything so much better.

  • Yep, I loved this track too! Movie 6's soundtrack was WAY better than Movie 5's to me, even though it's the same composer. I'll miss Hooper.

  • Here is my analysis:

If DAVID YATES directed all of the films, they would have really good character development and amazing acting all around; keeping close to the book, faithfully.

If CHRIS COLUMBUS had directed, then it would be too childish and weird, especially the death scenes would have been off-screen.

If MIKE NEWELL had directed, the films, especially movie 1+2, would be way too gorey and dark pictures, with some character develop + ok acting, leaving 1/2 of book out.

  • @054martinm this is a video of movie 2 which was directed by chris columbus..

  • Great job on this! it really does depict what it would be like had he directed it, great job I really enjoyed it!

  • ha ha ha

    very nice man

    u rock 5/5

    david yates is good director

  • I'm not saying that I really hated the ending, I just wish they would have had more. I can understand leaving out the funeral, but I wish they would have left in the battle between the Death Eaters and the Order of the Phoenix! Yes, I can't wait for DH part I and part II. It will just stink waiting 8 months between the two of them.
