Alley Cats was written and composed by danish composer and pianist "Bent Fabric" as he is known today. His name full name is Bent Fabricius Bjerre and this song was written in 1960. He won an rock'n roll award for it. It was originally titled "Omkring et flygel" which translates into : "Around a piano". it was so called because it was an introes-melody to a tv-series by the same name. When sold to America, the amarican producers thought it should have an animal in its name, hence the name.
