This is me shooting my No. 4 Mk. I* at Bisley range in the UK. I had just timed my friend shooting 5 rounds. He's left handed but still managed to do it in 15 seconds.

Watch the video to see how fast I was. I managed to get a dead center bullseye with one of the shots (probably the first one).

  • Try it like a WWI Tommy: operate the bolt with the thumb and fore finger and web of hand, operate the trigger with the middle finger. Never take the thumb and fore finger off the bolt.

This is how they made the Germans think they were using machineguns.

  • @jwc1481 I know this technique and only know one person who can do it competently.

Never tried it myself. Will give it a go next time I am on the range.

  • So what was his group like?

  • @shakeybeatz Not great but all shots where on target. One was a dead centre bullseye (this was at 100 yards). But I would put that down to luck rather than skill.

  • Stripper clips are the fastest way to reload. Lee Enfield magazine are almost never removed from the rifle - except for cleaning.

  • @sargeantsailorman SO YOU'RE SAYING THAT THE UK GOVERNMENT IS NOT GIVING CIVILIANS TO STOP A HUGE ARMED UPRISING?!

  • @sergeantsailorman Hi, saw your comment. Are you talking about the UK?, has there been a change in the firearms laws over there?

  • Nice piece.

A good one to know what you are doing with.

  • @Rossco139 guns have always been legal in the uk dude. you just need to have a licence which takes a fair bit of effort to get
